Nothing beats Sesame Street, except for maybe my nfl package on cable. But for my kids, Sesame Street seems to be the clear winner. This is a show that has surpassed generations and age groups. It's been on for more then thirty years. We used to watch it on satellite tv and it was amazing. Sesame Street has surpassed the Teletubbies, The Wiggles and everything inbetween.
Everyone knows Sesame Street characters. They know Big Bird, Oscar, and the biggest if all- Elmo. Elmo has literally become a child's icon. Tickle Me Elmo was huge a few years ago at Christmas like the Cabbage Patch Kids.
I loved waking up or coming home from school and watching Sesame Street on tv. Sesame Street was educational and fun and some of the skits are still used today. It has changed a little over the years but it's still pretty much the same.
I watched Sesame Street on TV and I remember all the celebrities who were on this show over the years. It is a time capsule to go back and see the older episodes. Sesame Street is timeless and will be enjoyed for years to come for future generations.
